Life as I know it

Life with Jason being gone has been crazy. With my A/C flooding my hall, a trip back home, finding someone to put new floor down and taking care of the needs of a rambunctious 2 year old diva I am swamped. On a happier note I get letters from Jason about every 3 days. I think I can now say that the mail man and I are good friends. I even took him cookies the other morning..lol The dogs are still waking me up at 4 in the morning (when Jason would normally be getting up to go run). I really wish that they would just sleep a little (like 3 hours) longer for my sanity. I finally cleaned out Izzy closet. I think it's time for me to admit that I may have a problem with making/buying her clothes. Of course I would never tell Jason that. I say that and here she is sitting in front of me now still in her pj's (Halloween at that) at 10:30am. I think I may try to paint a little today I have seen some really cute subway art that I would really like to try out or maybe do a little sewing for Izzy of course. Also, I think I may actually cook a meal tonight. That would be nice since Jason has been gone all we do is eat whatever is quick or Izzy wants to go to Chick-fil-a. Grey's Anatomy comes on tonight and OOO I cannot wait. I almost had to go to the hospital last year with the way it ended. Crazy I know, but really hope that it doesn't disappoint. Planning to take Izzy to the pumpkin patch next weekend if the weather permits. She loved it last year especially the pig races..lol Really wish that Jason could be here. I guess I didn't realize how much I would miss him. On that note I better get to posting some of his letters.

He made it!!!

Well Jason left yesterday afternoon and it was sad. I already miss him. Seems crazy that he is already gone. Everyone says it will go by fast and I keep telling myself that over and over again but to sum it up it SUCKS!! BAD!! I am just ready to get it over with and of all things our A/C unit started leaking and flooded our hallway floor. Lucky me!! O the joys of home ownership. So I called the insurance and good thing is they sent out an adjuster to evaluate the damage. Looks like e will be getting new flooring in our hallway and kitchen since the flooring matched they also gave us the the kitchen. Now I am super excited!! Enough about that. Sorry I'm rambling used to having someone to talk to..lol Jason text me tonight to tell me that he made it to base and that was about it. He text me right after the plane landed and told me he was there. I have heard that they(the army) let them(Jason) call and say that they are there so I think I might wait up until I can hear his voice. I already miss him so much. It's just the little things. I can already tell I should lose some weight while he is gone since I don't have anyone here to cook. Poor Izzy..lol Hopefully I will hear from him soon. You can follow his blog at bankingtobookcamp.blogspot.com I will be posting letters that he will be writing specifically for the blog that will cover everything that he is doing in training.

Back from the beach

Well we are back from the beach!! We had a great time. Izzy just loves the beach here are a few pictures that I made while we were there.

We visited the Naval Aviation Museum and it was awesome. If you ever go to Pensacola please go it's free and there is so much for the little ones to do.

Were almost there

Were almost there!! Jason leaves in 6 days!! We leave for another quick getaway to the beach this weekend and I am excited and sad at the same time. It will be nice to have some family time before he leaves but I really wish he could stay here with us. I know I should be happy that he's not gone for longer than 3 months. But it's so hard 1 month or 1 year. So happy for him though. I know God has plans for him and our family and I cannot wait to see what our future holds. We have a great support system here and I thank everyone who has been so nice to offer to help me with Izzy.

Spradlin House update!!

Well the weekend started off great. Izzy and I went to an ice cream social at church Friday night with my 1st-3rd grade GA class and had a blast. We of course ate all kinds of ice cream and played different childhood games. Kinda made me feel like a kid again ;). Today we went and had our yearly family pictures made thanks to a very good friend Missy for allowing to take us on a very fun shoot. Izzy had a big time although I think she is becoming a little diva lately. Then we got home and I got sick, yes sick. I could feel it coming on for days now and I couldn't take it anymore. So I went to the doctor this afternoon and they said that I have a bad sinus infection. Got 3 shots(you can guess where) and 3 different kinds of medication to take. I think now I will crawl in the bed and hopefully be better before church in the am.

It's Quiet!!

Well Izzy is gone visiting her grands for the week. Yea I can't believe I have a whole week just to do nothing..FUN!! Anyways, I decided to finish up some sewing that was long overdue. A friend asked me to make her little girl some pillowcase dresses so I thought I would share.

They turned out good. I hope that she enjoys them as much as I did making them.

*July Fun*

So we have been really busy the last couple of weeks with visiting families. We had a great July 4th weekend with The Spradlin's. Izzy didn't know what to think about the firework show but she loved swimming all weekend. She showed me that she can swim with just armfloties(sorry if that's not the correct spelling). I cannot believe my just now 2 year old can swim with arm floaties. Wish I would have taken a picture but I was surprised.

Last weekend Jason had drill for the National Guard. Still can't bring myself to believe he is an army man now..haha So Izzy and I packed up and went back home for the weekend. We had a great time with my parents. We went shopping, shopping and more shopping. Izzy played at the mall and of course got to ride the carousel. She has such an imagination. She fell down wile running around the house at my parents and said she had a broke leg. So my mom being the nurse she is got toilet paper and a pillow to help her. She wrapped her leg in toilet paper to make it look like a cast and elevated it with a pillow. This was a sight. She was so funny playing the patient. I really think she would be a good actress one day.

Izzy's 2

So Izzy turned 2 on July 1st and we had a Barnyard party at our house over the weekend. She had so much fun playing with all her little friends and opening all her gifts. Both sets of her grandparents got to come and enjoy her birthday with her. She was so excited to have everyone here at the same time. I cannot believe she is already 2 seems like yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital.

Well, I am giving this blog thing a try. I figure it is a great way for family and friends to see pictures of Izzy and get updates on what is going on in the family. Hope that everyone enjoys.
